Test Your Audio

3
You're set up! Now let's do a quick test of your audio. Don't panic this can only be heard by you, so don't worry about your presenting skills.
If you plan on speaking and playing music on your show it might be best to test both areas here! You can do this test at any time before each show to make sure everything is working well.

STEP 1 - Set the Recording location
When we test the audio, the Basic Broadcaster will save your audio file to your computer.
First we need to tell the Basic Broadcaster where to save the Audio Recordings to. Go to Settings > Record, and click on the folder to update the settings (See image).
Once completed you are ready to do a test record!

STEP 2 - Do a test Record
Simply hit the • record button (as shown by the arrow) and the Basic Broadcaster will listen to your system (in private).
Play some music, do some talking, whatever you want. When you're finished, just hit the □ stop icon.

Listen Back... Audio Issues?
The recording will now be in the folder you selected (see Step 1). Listen back to check it's all ok!
If you are having issues with the system hearing your audio, you may need to change the settings.
Click on "Settings>Audio" and try some different settings.
Remember: If you are not using an external mixer and microphone setup on your Apple Mac this option sadly won't work. Instead you will either need to use a 3rd Party Software (cost £50) or use a Windows PC or Laptop for free
